What is collected
If you use the contact page or email the company, the message can include your name, email address, organisation if you give one, the kind of help you are asking for, and what you write. The contact page does not save that message on the website and does not send it to a database. It prepares an email in your own mail app, addressed to owner@akoppelmaa.com. The company receives the details only if you send that email, or if you write directly.
When a browser requests a page, the host of the site records connection data needed to deliver it: IP address, user agent, and the address requested. The site does not use advertising tags, analytics, or a tracking cookie, and the pages do not set a cookie.
Why, and the legal basis
Name, email address, organisation, the kind of help, and the message are used only to answer the inquiry and to take steps before a contract you have asked for. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. The same details are not sold, and they are not used for marketing that is unrelated to that inquiry or to a contract that follows from it.
Connection data is used to deliver the page you requested and to keep the site available and secure. The basis is Article 6(1)(f). The interest is operating this company website. The data is limited to what the host needs for that request, it is not used for advertising, and you can object as described below.
You do not have to send a message. Without a name, an email address, and the message itself, the company cannot answer.
Who else handles it
Namecheap, Inc. hosts the mailbox owner@akoppelmaa.com through Namecheap Private Email. The mail servers are mx1.privateemail.com and mx2.privateemail.com. Namecheap processes the messages as a processor so they can be received and read, under its data processing addendum. Where a message is transferred outside the European Economic Area to a country without an adequacy decision, that addendum applies the Module Two standard contractual clauses approved by European Commission decision 2021/914.
Vercel Inc. hosts the website and processes the connection data as a processor. Its primary processing facilities are in the United States, and it may process that data in other places where it or its subprocessors operate. The safeguard for a transfer outside the European Economic Area is its data processing addendum, including the standard contractual clauses in that addendum. The company does not keep a separate copy of those hosting logs.
The typefaces on these pages are files served from akoppelmaa.com. Loading a page does not contact Google’s font servers.
How long it is kept
An inquiry that does not become a contract is kept for 12 months from the last message in that exchange, then deleted from the mailbox.
Where a message or invoice becomes an accounting source document, it is kept for seven years, which is the preservation period for accounting source documents in the Estonian Accounting Act.
Your rights
You can ask for access to the personal data the company holds about you, for rectification of inaccurate data, for erasure, for restriction of processing, and for objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Where the processing is based on a contract and is carried out by automated means, you can ask for portability of the data you provided. To use any of these rights, email owner@akoppelmaa.com.
You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon). Its contact details are published at aki.ee.
The company does not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
